Rare Pairs Exchange 2019

First of all, thank you for creating for me! I have no doubt that I'll enjoy whatever you end up making, and I look forward to seeing it!! The ideas below are generally suggestions; so long as you stick to my DNWs please feel free to stray as far from what I've written as you'd like! Feel free to also take a look at my dear creator letters for previous exchanges, some of that might be relevant! (Also, I apologize for the font differences. I never understand how stuff ends up changing sizes partway through.)

Firstly, some general likes and DNWs, in no particular order.

Likes: hair braiding/hair care, bedsharing, cuddling, AUs (both canon and otherwise), couples that are obviously friends as well, fluff!!!, h/c is fine (emphasis on the comfort is preferred though), slice of life, family fic, world building, asexual characters/relationships, get together AND established relationship fics, gender/sexuality headcanons, fake dating/relationship, FWBs (especially if it evolves into ~feelings~ but that isn't required), wlw (and therefore, rule 63 so long as it turns it into a wlw ship), soulmate aus, M/E rated content for f/f ships (PWP fine but not preferred)

DNWs: a/b/o, dubcon/noncon, incest, underage, significant age differences/power differentials, kink, any m/f sexual content (nothing over T please), cheating, major violence, unhappy endings, character death (unless otherwise specified), unwanted pregnancies, graphic descriptions of birth, mpreg, (for Star Wars:) anything Sith/Empire/Dark Side/First Order-positive, any master-padawan ships

So as you can see, all but Bail/Breha are f/f ships (because I'm a big ole useless gay). Please, just go nuts with this. I'm absolutely down for fics on a grand scale as well as ones that are tightly focused. Fluff and silliness are great as is something a bit more serious. For everything other than Bail/Breha, PWP or smut would be great. A lot of these focus on Naboo and Alderaan, and I'm really interested in worldbuilding, clothes, and especially hair. I haven't read Queen's Shadow yet but I don't mind if you pull inspo from that book. OFCs are great as either humans or aliens! If you want more specific prompts, I would suggest checking out some of my previous dear creator letters, because a lot of them were for star wars exchanges or included the fandom. If not, however you want to take these pairings is fine with me; women in love (being badasses or not) is all I'm really looking for!


Marvel Cinematic Universe

Again, there's a lot of ladies here! I'm down for canon compliance, canon divergence, or complete AUs! Most of these I'm welcome to pretty much anything, but I wanted to point a few things out... For the Carol ships, I'd be interested in seeing it set either during the five year time skip in Endgame, or potentially during the time skip from Captain Marvel to Endgame. This is especially true for Valkyrie/Carol (space is huge, but maybe they run into each other while Carol is out saving the universe?), and Carol/Natasha (maybe Carol does come back to visit during those twenty or thirty years—and maybe she runs into a Red Room assassin? For this I'd be interested in exploring Nat's background and the potential for her to have a version of the serum, making her much older than the MCU canon presumes). For Gamora and Nat: they have very similar backgrounds and similar trajectories over time. Not to mention [SPOILERS FOR ENDGAME] they both die/are killed for the soul stone. I'd be interested in seeing them run into each other somehow before the events of most of the movies, OR maybe they both ended up trapped in the soul stone together? I'd be interested in seeing anything on that!

For everyone: I'm interested in seeing competent women, the person/people in love with them, and their dynamic(s)!


The Priory of the Orange Tree

• Ead/Tané

If you haven't read Priory yet (by Samantha Shannon) but want to, I would recommend skipping this section due to spoilers. For anyone who decides to tackle this request, a million kudos to you! You'll probably end up being the first person to write Priory fic on AO3, so if you want to borrow the tags I wrote out for this request, feel free (I'm fairly certain I got them right).

If you write Ead/Sabran, I would love to see their reunion post-canon. What condition are their countries/organizations in? How does their reunion go? Something sweet would be lovely, but I'd also be interested in some steamy PWP.

If you write Ead/Tané, this is just a big what if! They get over their enmity in canon, for the most part, but their groups have been working against one another for centuries. I genuinely can't remember right now if Tané dies in the final battle (oops?) but I don't think she does; either way, let's work under the assumption that she's alive and kicking. How does Ead reorganize the Priory to acknowledge the Eastern dragons? What does Tané do now? Do they complete the enemies-to-allies-to-friends-to-lovers journey?


The Scorpio Races

I love TSR with all my heart, and will always welcome more content for it. Give me your post-canon ideas, your canon divergence, your complete AUs! Puck/Sean is my life and I always want more of them. But I'm also a sucker for the "what if" of Brian/Puck and especially Brian/Puck/Sean (which I tried to nominate but apparently isn't showing up in the tagset, which is why it's very optional). Give me all your headcanons and ideas, please and thank you ^-^


Discworld

• Mal/Polly

Monstrous Regiment was the first discworld book I read, and I fell in love with the world instantly through the eyes of Polly. I just went back and listened to the audiobook (Steven Briggs does such a good job), and the ending is so tantalizing. What to Polly and Mal go on to do in the army? Do they have wild adventures across the disc? Do they pick up a whole herd of girls and girls-as-lads and actual-lads, just like Jackrum? Do they eventually retire from the army for good, either to run the Duchess or to have their own adventures?

I'd also love to see them keeping in touch with the other girls from the regiment (particularly Shufti, since she's got the baby at the inn). Do they run into Jade or Igorina sometime down the road? What happened to Lofty and Tonkers? Thinking bigger, how does the culture of Borogravia change, and what rolls do Polly and Mal potentially play in that?

As you can see I have lots of thoughts for these two, but honestly wherever you'd like to take them I'd be happy to see!
